The post The Pink Cat celebrates its 20th anniversary! first appeared on Jérémy Taburchi's Art Gallery.]]> Here’s the Pink Cat by Jérémy Taburchi celebrating its 20th anniversary! And yes, twenty years in the service of creation, originality and Art. During this period, collectors from Nice and the surrounding area were able to appreciate the adventures of the mischievous feline, sometimes presented in paintings, sometimes in sculpture, and even sometimes in comic strips, or on digital media. The numerous and always successful exhibitions have allowed a wide audience to encounter the artist’s work and appreciate it.

For the future, the Pink Cat will continue to explore all the avenues available to it, in particular those relating to sculpture and bronze, since this is currently what is keeping its creator very busy, through works such as the Chabondance (photo below), or through the reinterpretation of the great myths of antiquity, in particular the Greek myths.

In the meantime, let’s all wish Pink Cat a happy birthday!

The post Order your copy of the sculpture of San Sebastian first appeared on Jérémy Taburchi's Art Gallery.]]> You can now order one of 8 copies (plus 4 artists’ copies) of my interpretation of the myth of San Sebastian, the martyred and sagittated Roman soldier. The Pink Cat lends itself here again to the exercise in order to interpret the character of the saint. Cult structuring the church for centuries, the imagery related to it was recovered some time ago now by the Gay community which made it one of its symbols. The sculpture that is offered to you here measures approximately 11 cm in height and will be numbered and signed. It will be patinated and probably brushed. You can pay a deposit only or pay the entire work by going to this page or by clicking on the image below (the work will be finalized and completed by the addition of the arrows).

Of course, before I agree to produce the work, whether it be a painting or a sculpture, the subject must please me and inspire me, which is not always the case… I I thus more often refused the work that I was offered than I accepted them. Nevertheless in recent months I met an amateur of my works who offered me to work on an ex-voto: this nice character having been the victim of a rather serious accident, he wanted to give thanks to Saint Rita, patroness of the causes desperate, to thank her for her recovery. So we worked together on the subject, remotely, and once he was satisfied with the result, I got in touch with the Guyot Creste Foundry in Vallauris so that he could make a bronze, a unique piece. You can discover the result of the melting, before patina, on the photos below.
